The beginning of the heating season in Ukraine is planned to be scheduled for mid-autumn – more precisely, from October 15. This was reported by representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Utilities of Ukraine. But heat can be supplied to social facilities and institutions from the beginning of October, if the weather conditions in the country worsen.Anatoly Zhelezko, head of one of the departments for thermal power engineering at the Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities of Ukraine, said that the service plans to supply heating to houses and start heating boiler houses, provided that the temperature outside stays below 8 degrees Celsius for 24 hours.
The official also said that in the country as a whole it is planned to prepare 210,423 residential buildings for the heating season. The necessary work on the preparation and supply of heat will be financed from local budgets in the amount of about 701 million. Ukrainian hryvnia.
Personal responsibility for preparing for winter cold and heating was assigned to the Minister of Regional Development Anatoly Bliznyuk on behalf of the President of Ukraine.
About 98% of the houses assigned according to the plan are currently prepared for the heating season. Sevastopol, Zhytomyr and Cherkassy regions were marked by the lowest rates of preparation of houses for heating – noted Zhelezko.
