If wooden floors are planned in a new house, logs are required for their flooring. The evenness, quality and service life of the future floor depend on how correctly they are installed. If you want to lay parquet or europol, you can do it right on the logs. In other cases, moisture-resistant plywood is attached to the lags, and the floor covering is already attached to it. Logs are installed on a clean surface with a primer layer. It is also necessary to have hydro and vapor barrier materials so that the tree lasts longer.
For the manufacture of lag take a tree. Ash parquet board should be about a meter long and about 20 cm thick. Pre-boards must be treated with an antiseptic to prevent the growth of bacteria. Lags are installed parallel to the windows. The distance from the lag to the wall should not exceed 5 cm, between the lags themselves they can withstand about half a meter. They start laying with the so-called lighthouses, their evenness is determined strictly by the level. If the boards are lowered, this should be corrected by padding them with a layer of sand. Wooden wedges cannot be used for this purpose. Remember that when installing the log, you should not make mistakes, because to eliminate them, you will then have to dismantle the entire floor, and this is fraught with great difficulties and significant expenses.
