Sewerage in the house

Sewerage in the house

Plastic pipes are used for sewerage in a private house. Preliminary planning of the system allows you to significantly save on their purchase. It provides for the placement of bathrooms, if there are two, closer to each other, as well as the grouping of sanitary facilities in one place next to the exhaust ventilation.

Pipe laying starts from the farthest point, given a slope of 4  5 degrees. Pipes are laid indoors or in a warm basement, if any. When installing ventilation systems, special tools and high-quality materials are usually used.

For baths and sinks, pipes with a diameter of 50 mm are used. They are connected to the main pipe (diameter 100 mm), which leads to a sewer well or drain hole. The main pipe outdoors is laid below the freezing depth of the soil. If the slope does not allow this, insulate with foam or mineral wool. Joints sealed with silicone sealant. Avoid a large number of elbow joints, because it is in them that sewage waste can accumulate, causing blockages.

When connecting plumbing, be sure to install a hydraulic lock. Its presence will prevent the ingress of unpleasant odors from the sewer into the room.
