Steam concrete

The lower the density, the more opportunities to provide good thermal insulation properties. Therefore, thanks to concrete, the building is provided with a high strength. The strength is not affected by the high porosity of aerated concrete. The use of foam concrete walls, which are slightly thinner, makes it possible to reduce the mass of an already finished structure. It is worth noting that houses made of glued laminated timber are very popular now, which have a number of advantages over houses made of steam concrete.

And this in turn lowers the requirements for the parameter of the initial material fortress. The pores that are filled with gas make it possible to reduce the thickness of the walls and, in turn, reduce the mass of the structure many times over. It must be recalled that the fire resistance of foam concrete is also high. From this we can conclude that such a house can withstand a considerable temperature for several hours. Many samples of aerated concrete have high water vapor permeability. Moisture acceptable for human health is maintained in such buildings, and the microclimate is satisfactory. Nowadays, such building material is used not only in the construction of low-rise buildings with great popularity, but also in the construction of multi-storey buildings, which are large in size.
