The Moscow government approved the draft five-year program “Housing”

On August 23, at a meeting, the city authorities approved the draft of the city program “Housing” for 2012-2016.

The program assumes that over five years, the Moscow government will allocate about 700 billion rubles for the construction of residential real estate. At the same time, Marat Khusnullin, deputy mayor for urban planning policy, announced the allocation of 724 billion rubles and an additional 805 billion rubles of extrabudgetary funds.

It is planned that about 2.5 million square meters of housing will be built every year, of which 700 thousand square meters will be financed by the city budget.

According to the document, in 2014 the liquidation of the so-called “Khrushchevs” should be completed in the capital. At the same time, work will be carried out on the overhaul of the housing stock.

The development of the “Housing” program involves the adoption in November last year of the federal target program “Housing” for 2011-2015. The document says that each region should develop its own housing development program.
