We build a house, lay out the oven

Before you start laying out the oven, you need to determine the place where it will be located. Furnaces are generally made closer to the corner of the room, so that all surfaces give off heat evenly. The strength of the furnace masonry depends on the quality of the solution. A mortar of medium plasticity is best suited for oven masonry, the density of the mortar should be such that when laying wet bricks, the mortar is easily squeezed out under the weight of the brick itself.

To prepare the solution, you need to sift the sand through a thick sieve, dilute the clay to a liquid state and also strain through a sieve and let stand to drain the water that needs to be drained. Clay and sand are measured in the right amount, mixed and diluted with water to the desired density.

Brick for oven masonry must be soaked in water for at least 1 day before use, masonry will be very durable from such brick. And masonry from just wet bricks can be dismantled by hand. For laying refractory bricks, special refractory clay is used.

The stove is laid out on a solid foundation. The size of the foundation can match the size of the oven or be slightly larger. If the stove is built near the wall of a house with an attic, then a distance is left between the wall and the stove, which is covered with sand.
